2015 Lexus NXLexus Sets November Sales Record

Lexus reported November sales of 27,472 units, a 7.3 percent increase on a raw volume basis year-over-year. Lexus RX leads the luxury segment, with sales of more than 9,500 units. Lexus GX is up about 20 percent, and Lexus GS sales are up 15.5 percent.

“Lexus set an all-time November sales record thanks in part to the momentum surrounding the arrival of the newest edition to the lineup, the RC coupes,” said Steve Hearne, vice president for sales and dealer development. “As a result, Lexus outpaced the luxury market with strong growth for both passenger cars and sport utility vehicles.”

Lexus LF C2Lexus Unveils New Open-Air LF-C2

The Lexus LF-C2 concept made its global debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The LF-C2 concept is a design study in the form of a 2+2 roadster and explores key styling themes involved in the Lexus brand’s bolder styling direction. Vents in the front bumper send cool air to the brakes as well as help manage airflow through the body to help keep the front end stable at high speeds. Small vents in the side sills direct air to the rear brakes and out the fin-like rear diffusers. The rear end of the LF-C2 is highlighted by Lexus L-shaped taillight bulbs, an exhaust system with chrome-covered quad exhaust tips, and an expressive new rear diffuser design. The concept’s impactful stance is planted by five-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels.

New Safety System on the Way in 2015

The new “Lexus Safety System +” package will launch this year, which integrates several of Lexus’s existing active safety technologies: the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beam. As part of a multi-faceted approach to active safety, the Lexus Safety System + package combines millimeter-wave radar with a camera to achieve high reliability and performance.

With the PCS, automated braking operates at speeds between 10 to 80 km/h for potential collisions with pedestrians, and between 10 km/h and the vehicle’s top speed for collisions with other vehicles.

Honda Oil System Inspection

The leading cause of low oil pressure-related complaints with Honda vehicles is the oil level.

Just about every engine lubrication system, including Honda’s, operates the same in theory. An oil pump generates the pressure, oil is sent to oil galleys, and then flows back into the pan. In practice, however, it is much more complicated. An oil system practically manages a controlled leak into the oil pan.
