This bulletin provides information related to the adjustment of the automatic transaxle shift control cable. Some Sedona owners may complain of MIL illumination related to the transaxle range switch being out of adjustment.

On vehicles that exhibit the condition, a transaxle range switch that’s out of adjustment may cause the following conditions:
• P0705: Transaxle range switch circuit malfunction (PRND321);
• P0707: Transaxle range switch (inhibitor switch) open/shorted; low voltage;
• P0708: Transaxle range switch (inhibitor switch) shorted; high voltage;
• MIL illumination; and
• Impossible to start the engine in park or neutral.

Adjustment Procedure:
1. Firmly apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the air filter box assembly from the vehicle.
3. Turn the ignition key to the “on” position, but do not start the engine, and select the neutral position on the selector lever assembly.
4. The alignment holes between the transaxle range switch and the lever should be aligned. Insert a 5mm drill bit into the adjustment hole to verify proper alignment for the neutral position.
5. If the alignment holes do not line up, loosen the retaining bolts and move the transaxle range switch as required. Tighten the retaining bolts to 96 in.-lbs. (12 Nm).
