Models:
2015 Jetta, Beetle, Passat and Golf with the 2.0 TDI engine.
Condition:
On these models with the diesel engine, the AdBlue warning might be illuminated and code P20E8 for reductant pressure too low might be stored in the ECM.
Cause:
The welding process used to seal the reductant line and connector to the supply line has leakage at the reductant injector.
Solution:
VW has issued an improved supply line assembly to eliminate the leak.
Service Procedure:
- Inspect the connection of the reductant supply line connector at the injector.
- If white crystalized (dried) AdBlue is found at the injector, replace the supply line. (See Figures 1 and 2).
- Thoroughly clean the area with water to remove the buildup.
- Refill the tank with AdBlue.
