Some owners of 2002-’05 Sedonas may complain of MIL Illumination related to the transaxle range switch being out of adjustment.

On vehicles that exhibit this condition, a transaxle range switch that’s out of adjustment may cause the following conditions:
• P0705: Transaxle range switch circuit malfunction (PRND321);
• P0707: Transaxle range switch (inhibitor switch) open/shorted – low voltage;
• P0708: Transaxle range switch (inhibitor switch) shorted – high voltage;
• MIL illumination; and
• Impossible to start the engine in Park or Neutral.

Adjustment Procedure:
1. Firmly apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the air filter box assembly from the vehicle.
3. Turn the ignition key “on” (do not start the engine) and select the Neutral (N) on the selector lever assembly.
4. The alignment holes between the transaxle range switch and the lever should be aligned. Insert a 5 mm drill bit into the adjustment hole to verify proper alignment for the neutral position.
5. If the alignment holes do not line-up, loosen the retaining bolts and move the transaxle range switch as required. Tighten the retaining bolts to 96 in.-lbs. (12 Nm).
