More Is Better

More Is Better

Starting this September, we're making enhancements to bring you even more valuable business and technical information.

Content is King. Pure and simple. It is what helps you to operate a better business. It is why ImportCar concentrates on providing technical content exclusively dedicated to under-the-car service and repair. We know you – our audience of shop owners, technicians and service managers – appreciate our efforts because you talk with us every day.

Beginning in May of this year, we began making content enhancements by incorporating ShopOwner magazine, launched in 2010, into every monthly issue of ImportCar. Now in addition to award-winning technical content, each issue contains helpful management information by sharing best practices across numerous business disciplines.

And starting this September, watch for us to make additional enhancements, bringing you even more valuable business and technical information from cover to cover.

Here’s how and why:

1. We realize, in today’s challenging business environment, the more you know, the better equipped you are for success under the car, under the hood and under your roof.

2. Keeping up with the fast pace of technology while growing your business isn’t easy, and since content is king, we’re stepping our game up by extending our import nameplate coverage with a focus on high-end Euro and Asian vehicles to include additional under-the-car and under-the-hood technical content.

3. Starting in September, we will be transitioning your subscription to ShopOwner magazine while ramping up our coverage of technical content across all repair disciplines under one cover. As a subscriber to ImportCar, you will also receive technical content from Underhood Service and Brake & Front End. The image accompanying my message provides a “sneak peek” of what to look for next month.

The end-result is monthly magazine to keep you aware of emerging and relevant technical repair underlined with business management information to help keep your business humming from the bays to the service counter.

We are excited and confident that these improvements will serve you, our loyal subscribers, extremely well, beginning this September with our new ShopOwner magazine featuring content from Brake & Front End, ImportCar and Underhood Service.

EV Charging

Charging will get better as technology improves and drivers change their behaviors.

I once worked with a technician you might call considerate. When he used a piece of equipment, he would ensure everything was clean and properly put away. For example, we had a five-gas analyzer used for state emissions testing. After every time he used the machine, the hose for the tailpipe probe was neatly coiled and hung on the machine. When he used the machine, the hose was laid on the ground and not dragged across the shop’s floor. He also was the guy who would dispose of the filters left in the oil drain by other technicians.
