Delphi Adds 20 Ride Height Sensors to its Engine Management Portfolio

Delphi has added 20 new ride height sensors (also called body position sensors, rotary position sensors, vehicle turn rate sensors or suspension leveling sensors) to its engine management product portfolio covering 2004-2011 Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac SUV and sedan applications, where Delphi is the original equipment supplier.

Located behind each tire, the sensors deliver ride control and suspension leveling. With the most comprehensive GM coverage at almost 10 million vehicles, Delphi says its ride height sensors were designed to perform in the most demanding automotive environments, including rocks, mud, salt, ice and snow. Sensor, arm, mounting bracket and all other parts are included for easy installation.

Timing BMW VANOS N53 And N54

To service them, you will need the appropriate toolset to lock the crank and camshaft.

The BMW N53 (naturally aspired) and N54 (turbocharged) engines were among the first BMW engines to come with variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust camshafts. The N53 and N54 straight-six have unfairly earned a bad reputation for reliability with technicians due to timing chain and variable valve timing problems. The reputation comes from owners not keeping up with oil changes and it is difficult to check engine timing.
