ASA, Delphi Activate Online Education Tools

Delphi Integrated Service Solutions' e-Tech Network, a management and training tool designed to improve service bay efficiency and enhance technician productivity, is now being offered at substantially reduced rates for ASA members.

Delphi Integrated Service Solutions’ e-Tech Network, a management and training tool designed to improve service bay efficiency and enhance technician productivity, is now being offered at substantially reduced rates for ASA members. The online packages – Career Development, Educational Services and Repair Service Process – are designed to meet the educational needs of ASA shop owners, managers and their technicians.

The e-Tech Network services can be purchased at discounted al-a-carte rates, or as a package for the greatest savings.

The network’s Technician Career Development Program allows a shop owner or manager to determine a technician’s current skill level and targets training to meet career objectives. Once a technician has mastered a subject area, the e-Tech Network provides mini-assessments to determine a technician’s readiness to take the ASE certification tests.

The ASA discounted rate on the network also includes several training programs available in both instructor-led and self-study programs. The self-study programs include web- and video-based technical training, as well as programs on CD-ROM.

ASA members can also take advantage of the e-Tech Network’s Auto IQ program – an interactive learning aid for consumers, allowing the shop to demonstrate specific procedures using full-motion video and animated technical diagrams.

Members may also choose to access technical service bulletins, wiring diagrams, a labor guide, maintenance specifications, an OBD-II diagnostic suite, technical hotline and a tech tips database using a discounted rate.

"This new relationship with Delphi makes perfect sense," said Bill Haas, ASA’s vice president of education and training. "At a time when our members are challenged to run their shops more efficiently and control costs, ASA members now have convenient and cost-saving access to Delphi’s products and services of repair information, technical assistance and training."

ASA members can access the discounted rates for Delphi’s e-Tech Network program and view product demonstrations by visiting the Members Only area of ASA’s website, www.asashop.org. For more information on this or any other ASA member benefit, please call (800) 272-7467, ext. 295, or access the electronic benefits portfolio within ASA OnDemand, which can be downloaded from www.ASAOnDemand.com.
