Holley recently announced the release of new axle-back & cat-back exhaust systems for NB (1999-2005) and NC (2006-’15) Mazda Miatas. Utilizing Hooker BlackHeart’s stainless mufflers to provide a deep, throaty tone, these systems are finished off with a 3.5″ polished tip(s) for a subtle, yet more aggressive look. To top it all off, they increase horsepower and torque while reducing overall exhaust system weight over stock, said the company.
1999-2005 Miata MX-5 (NB)
Axle-Back
Hooker BlackHeart provides enthusiasts with a new axle-back system for 1999-2005 1.8L Mazda Miatas. This axle-back system utilizes a high-flow straight-through muffler design to deliver a deep, sporty tone from the roadster. It produces an extra 2.84 HP and 2.38 lb-ft of torque over the factory exhaust and is comprised of 304 stainless steel 2.25″ piping providing maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
Cat-Back
Hooker BlackHeart provides enthusiasts with a new cat-back system for 1999-2005 1.8L Mazda Miatas. This cat-back system utilizes a high-flow straight-through muffler design to deliver a deep, sporty tone from the roadster. The cat-back system produces an extra 4.15 HP and 3.48 lb-ft of torque compared to stock. It is also constructed of 304SS 2.25″ piping and saves 10 lbs over stock. This system is constructed from 304 stainless steel providing maximum durability. It uses 2.5″ tubing, a dual inlet-dual outlet muffler and polished 3.5 inch tips. Simple installation is made possible by using the factory mounting points.

It has adjustable tips to fit to either the standard or optional sport rear valance and produces an extra 6.5 HP and 8 lb-ft of torque. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, it uses 2.5’’ tubing, a dual inlet-dual outlet muffler and polished 3.5’’ tips. Simple installation is made possible by using the factory mounting points.
