Chicago Pneumatic announces the company has unveiled its new ultra-lightweight 1/2” impact wrench (CP7732C), which is the new generation of the company’s best-selling “stubby” and is the latest in a series of exceptionally compact tools for the vehicle service industry. The wrench is 20% lighter than its predecessor, and has been designed in response to customer demand for smaller, lighter tools, enabling technicians to work easily in difficult-to-access areas.

The stubby CP7732C wrench weighs just 2.2 lbs. and 4.3” in length while providing a maximum torque of 460 ft.-lbs. in reverse. The company recommends the new compact impact wrench for use inside the vehicle and engine compartment for jobs on oil pans, seat bolts and body panels where tight spaces restrict the movement of conventional tools.

The tool is ergonomic and has been designed for maximum user comfort with a composite housing and thermo-plastic rubber handle. Users will appreciate the smooth mechanism of one-hand forward/reverse and a new power setting system. The ergonomic curved handle reduces tension in the tech’s hand and helps reduce chances of an injury. In addition, because it is lighter than alternative tools, operators experience less fatigue. Furthermore, a full teasing trigger gives the operator easy, controlled operation.

The CP7732C wrench shares Chicago Pneumatic’s traditional features such as a jumbo hammer mechanism, steel motor and aluminum clutch housing to provide excellent performance and withstand the tough workshop environment.

Yann Pasco, product marketing manager at Chicago Pneumatic Tools, says, “The impact wrench is part of our new range of compact tools, which have been developed with our ‘Size Matters’ philosophy. The tools are designed to bring high power in a compact size to enable users easier access to applications and power efficiency in confined spaces, and they are the perfect fit for any mechanic’s toolbox. These new lightweight tools are more comfortable and convenient to use, and customers can benefit from our cost-effective price.”
