Standard Motor Products Releases 239 New Parts For Standard And Intermotor

Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP) announces the addition of 239 new part numbers to its Standard and Intermotor lines. The release spans 38 product categories and expands coverage through the 2016 model year with more than 152 million additional VIO.

SMP continued to expand its switch and sensor coverage, with the introduction of 75 switches for 22 million VIO and 46 sensors for 19 million VIO. Highlights include 47 power window switches and an array of sensors such as ABS speed, accelerator pedal, camshaft, crankshaft, steering angle and TPMS sensors.

Other notables include 71 power door lock actuators covering 71 million VIO; 20 ignition lock cylinders covering 32 million VIO; and several new diesel SKUs, including a fuel water separator sensor, glow plug conductor and diesel glow plug wiring harness.

Commenting on the news, Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP, stated, “Our August release underscores our commitment to providing customers with quality parts and increased coverage in key categories such as sensors, switches and door lock actuators.”
