Snap-on’s Pass Thru Pro III Brings OEM-Level Reprogramming To The Shop

Snap-on-Pass-ThruThe new Snap-on Pass Thru Pro III (EETA113C) has been enhanced from the previous model to make the J2534 vehicle reprogramming process easier than ever. Technicians will experience improved ease of use with automatic access to an updated reprogramming toolbox, now supporting Windows 8. The Pass Thru Pro III includes new protocols for fault-tolerant CAN, new CAN lines and access to additional late-model vehicle networks. In addition, the device allows automatic firmware updates via USB as a vehicle connection is no longer required for firmware updates.

The new Pass Thru Pro III brings OEM reprogramming to the independent repair shop, allowing technicians to update software/firmware in the vehicle’s electronic control unit with software directly from the OEMs, fixing software-controlled driveability and emissions issues. The new device can also program emission-related ECUs on any J2534-compliant vehicle 2004-newer and other J2534 complaint controllers.
