SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women Deadline Nearing

The SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women was created to engage, inspire and connect women who've made extraordinary contributions to the auto industry.

chromatic styleThe SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) invites female automotive technicians, technical students and experts to participate in the first-ever SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women. To be considered for this historic project, apply online by Monday, June 11.

The SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women was created to engage, inspire and connect women who’ve made extraordinary contributions to the auto industry.

Ford will donate a ’13 Mustang GT to the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund for this project. high gear style

Women will install products from several aftermarket manufacturers over an eight-week period at the Source Interlink Headquarters in El Segundo, California.

After an unveiling at the 2012 SEMA Show, the vehicle will be auctioned on eBay Motors, and proceeds from the auction will benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund. In addition, SEMA, Ford and Source Interlink will work together to promote this amazing project.

Volunteers must be female SBN members employed by a SEMA-member company.

Selection
SBN will review applicants’ skills and availability. Women selected will be notified by phone or e-mail.

Voting to select the Mustang Build’s final concept—Chromatic, Fast Metal, or High Gear—is open until June 3.

The public is invited to visit www.automobilemag.com, www.HotRod.com, www.mustangmonthly.com or www.MuscleMustangFastFords.com to vote on the design concept they would like to see used for the build.
