Mount Kisco-Area Tire Store Manager Wins Harley-Davidson Motorcycle in Monroe Shocks and Struts Promotion

Vincent Papa, manager of Mavis Discount Tire in Mt. Kisco, NY, didn’t believe it when he heard he had won a national sweepstakes drawing for a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle from Monroe Shocks and Struts.

Vincent Papa, manager of Mavis Discount Tire in Mt. Kisco, NY, didn’t believe it when he heard he had won a national sweepstakes drawing for a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle from Monroe Shocks and Struts.

“My daughter and I were leaving the store for lunch together when a Monroe employee told me that I was the lucky winner,” Papa said. “I thought one of my buddies was playing a joke on me so I made him show me I.D. before I believed him. It was pure luck.”

Awarded through the Monroe brand’s national “Ticket2Ride” promotion for automotive service professionals, Papa’s new Harley-Davidson Softail FLSTFI Fat Boy motorcycle was presented during a ceremony recently at Mavis Discount Tire. “I was the fortunate one! At fifty, I’m learning how to ride a motorcycle, but my wife won’t ride with me for another few months,” Papa said.

The Ticket2Ride promotion required the completion of program scorecards through the sale and installation of Monroe premium shocks and struts, including Sensa-Trac® and Monroe Reflex®. Monroe products are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Automotive. Papa’s name was drawn from thousands of grand-prize sweepstakes entries for the grand-prize.

“Vinny didn’t believe it when we told him,” said Tenneco Automotive Aftermarket Programs Manager Sheryl Bomia. “But he was more than happy when we kept telling him – and he realized his friends didn’t set him up – that he was the lucky winner of a new Harley from Monroe.”
