MACS Accepting Nominations for the Simon Oulouhojian, Sr. Technical Achievement Award

It is time to continue a new tradition begun by the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide. MACS is currently accepting nominations for the prestigious Simon Oulouhojian, Sr. Technical Achievement Award.

It is time to continue a new tradition begun by the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide. MACS is currently accepting nominations for the prestigious Simon Oulouhojian, Sr. Technical Achievement Award.

Created to honor the legacy of MACS President Emeritus, mobile A/C industry leader and technical training advocate Simon Oulouhojian, Sr., the Technical Achievement award recognizes and encourages efforts by industry service technicians to work to attain a high level of technical knowledge and proficiency.

The winner will be recognized during MACS 27th annual Convention and Trade Show Repair Round-UP! to be held at the Phoenix Hyatt February 1-3, 2007. The winner will also have their name inscribed on a plaque displayed at MACS headquarters.

Only active MACS members may nominate any technician they believe has shown dedication to maintaining and improving their technical proficiency by seeking out and participating in training. The nominee need not be a current MACS member.

Award nominations must include the following information regarding the nominee:
• Nominee’s name, address and phone number;
• Education and ASE certification levels;
• Place of employment;
• Achievements;
• Community involvement;
• Area of educational interest; and
• A detailed explanation of the continuing education goals of the nominee should be noted.

If the nominee is currently enrolled in the MACS testing program that accompanies the MACS Service Reports each month the average test score achieved each month should be noted.

An award recipient will be chosen by the MACS training committee and all nominations for the Simon Oulouhojian, Sr. Technical Achievement Award must be received by November 10, 2006 at MACS headquarters, P.O. Box 88, Lansdale, PA 19446, or email at [email protected] or fax (215) 631-7017.
