Independent Mobile Tool Distributors Association Re-Aligns Board of Directors

In a May 3, 2009, teleconference board meeting, the Independent Tool Distributors Association (IMTDA) board of directors installed a new board member and re-aligned its current roster. The move was necessitated by the recent departure of Vice President Sunny Nishimura and the need for an odd number of board members.

President/Founder Lynn Stokes, of West Coast Tools in Atascadero, CA, moves to a new position of founder/CEO.
Treasurer/Membership Director Brian Gallagher of Ironman Tools in Savannah, GA, is now president and will retain the position of membership director until such time that a new membership director is found.

Interim Vice President Ken Perkins of Toolmeister Tools in Fernandina Beach, FL, has been officially named vice president.

Secretary Brian Tuite of West County Tool & Equipment in Forestville, CA, retains his position.

Myron King, of Big River Tools in Vancouver, WA, takes the position of treasurer. King, the newest board member, has been in the tool business since, in his own words “the building of Noah’s Ark” and an IMTDA member since 2005. The 64-year-old King started by selling Craftsman Tools in Indiana, worked as a regional manager for EASCO-KD Tools in the Northwest, was a Snap-on industrial rep for two years, spent 10 years as a Mac Tools distributor and now has been independent as Big River Tools for five years.

“The association welcomes King to its Board of Directors and looks forward to the wealth of his years of experience in the tool business,” Stokes said.
