ETI’s ToolTech Event Continues to Grow in Popularity

The Equipment and Tool Institute’s (ETI) Annual ToolTech conference continues to be a popular industry event for tool and equipment professionals, according to ETI, drawing more than 125 professionals to this year’s event in Napa Valley, CA.

ToolTech participants networked with industry peers, met potential customers and product providers, conferred with clients, met in one-on-one structured meetings and gained valuable insights from presentations by industry leaders.
ToolTech 2010 was highlighted by more than a dozen industry speakers on topics including: Trends in OE Diagnostic Strategies, Brake/Tire Panel on Service Requirements, Updating Traditional Undercar Service Products, TPMS Updates, The Movement Toward Comprehensive Repair Services, Insurance Industry Goals, The Shop Owner’s Dilemma, The OEM’s Role and Obligations, The Future of Remote OBD and more.

“ToolTech 2010 was one of the best attended and most informative events ETI has put on. The speakers were outstanding and the information relayed was very valuable to our members,” said Jessie Korosec, ETI marketing manager.

ETI also presented its findings on the recently completed TPMS and Telematics Market Research. ETI is using this research to help all segments of the automotive industry provide aftermarket shops with better tool and equipment solutions. ETI surveyed automotive repair facilities to find out more about their familiarity with TPMS and telematics. This research was designed to evaluate the market’s use and experiences with using TPMS and telematics, as well as their future business expectations in implementing TPMS and telematics services, and to find out what support the market needs to implement or grow their TPMS and telematics business.

The Market Research Study will be available for purchase on ETI’s website at www.etools.org. Presentations and additional information from ToolTech 2010 also are available on the site.

Next year’s ToolTech will be held in Miami Beach, FL, the week of May 3.
