ASA Mechanical Division Presents ASA/ASE Top Score Award at CARS

Thomas Piippo, owner of Tri-county Motors in Rudyard, MI, received the Automotive Service Association's (ASA) National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Top Score Award during the 2005 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas. The award recognizes the ASA Mechanical Division member with the highest score on the 2005 ASE master automobile test.

Thomas Piippo, owner of Tri-county Motors in Rudyard, MI, received the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Top Score Award during the 2005 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas. The award recognizes the ASA Mechanical Division member with the highest score on the 2005 ASE master automobile test.

Earl Dohner, AAM, ASA Mechanical Division director, presented the annual award during the CARS luncheon Saturday, Nov. 5. Chuck Roberts, ASE’s executive director, industry relations, was also on hand for the presentation.

"Tom has always been an advocate of automotive technical and management training," said Dohner. "He has received numerous awards and has been selected by ASE to update the L1 advanced engine performance test and review the scoring on the A2 auto transmission test."
