Penray Named Approved Brand For The Group

With this announcement, Penray's products are available to all members of The Group. The product lineup features more than a hundred separate products, including service chemicals, coolant additives and functional fluids.

Penray Inc. has been named a vendor partner for the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group). Members of The Group represent more than 5,000 Federated and Pronto auto parts stores throughout North America.

With this announcement, Penray’s products are available to all members of The Group, which includes Federated and Pronto warehouses and auto parts stores throughout the Americas. This is of particular value to owners and technicians at auto repair facilities, who can now purchase Penray products through their participating local Federated or Pronto outlet. These stores typically offer same-day “hot-shot” delivery to help shops enhance throughput and avoid delays. Such deliveries are commonly made to the wholesale customers of these stores, including independent repair shops, franchised chain stores, tire shops, quick-lube locations, fleets and new- and used-car dealerships.

This product lineup includes more than a hundred separate products, including cleaning and enhancement products for automotive and heavy-duty vehicles and systems, including fuel, cooling and lubrication system products for gasoline and diesel-powered cars and trucks. Penray products include fuel injector cleaners, diesel fuel supplements and a catalytic converter restoration product.

Penray says it will support all levels of The Group with a package of marketing, training and sales support programs. This will include online and on-site materials. It also will include in-store training of sales associates and include hands-on training at selected individual repair shop locations. This will afford Penray trainers the opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness and proper use of its various chemicals and service kits.

“Achieving this level of approval is especially gratifying,” said Randy Fowler, vice president of automotive and private brand sales for Penray. “The Group has established very demanding standards for this level of approval. Penray now joins a select group of industry-leading suppliers that have achieved this special recognition.”

“We have set the bar very high for companies wishing to achieve vendor partner status. Our criteria include such things as product quality, order fill and sales support. Penray has demonstrated superior performance in all of these categories, and we welcome them into our family of vendor partners,” said Mike Mohler, executive vice president, vendor relations and product strategy for The Group. “Owners and operators of automotive and truck repair facilities depend on us to supply them with products of the highest quality, when and where they’re needed, so they can operate their shops efficiently and profitably. Our new partnership with Penray will only serve to enhance our level of service to these important customers.”
