Although the grand-prize 2008 GMC Canyon 4WD truck won’t be awarded until October, Remy International, Inc. is offering a special incentive to the first 15 professional technicians who submit qualifying entries to the company’s “Conquer the Canyon” sweepstakes.

The first 15 professional technicians who submit completed program scorecards documenting at least five qualifying installations of Remy alternators and/or starters after June 1, 2008, will receive a free iPod Touch audio/video player valued at $299. All qualifying entries also will automatically be included in October’s grand-prize drawing for the GMC Canyon 4WD truck extended-cab truck.

“Most aftermarket promotions ask the technician to do a lot of work and then wait for a potential reward at the very end of the program. Our ‘Conquer the Canyon’ promotion offers exciting rewards both at the beginning and end, so there are plenty of incentives to install world-class Remy products all summer long,” said Phil Henderson, vice president, marketing and category management, Remy Aftermarket.

Running June 1 through September 30, 2008, Remy’s “Conquer the Canyon” sweepstakes will award chances to win the ’08 GMC Canyon 4WD truck to lucky automotive repair shop professionals who complete and submit qualifying entries. (Restrictions apply. See program rules for details.)

Program tracking cards are available through any Remy Authorized Distributor and online at www.remyaftermarket.com.
