New Promotion from Monroe Brakes Drives ‘Slick’ Bargain for Shop Owners and Consumers

The Monroe brakes brand is offering an innovative consumer promotion this summer: the Monroe Brakes “Slick Offer” promotion. The program will help service dealers maximize their brake business while driving repeat sales through their oil change bays.

Monroe brake pads are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc., a leading global supplier of ride control, emission control, and noise, vibration and harshness control products for the original equipment and replacement markets.

Running June 1 through August 31, 2007, the Monroe Brakes “Slick Offer” promotion rewards consumers with a mail-in rebate for the price of an oil change when they purchase a qualifying set of Monroe brake pads.

“This is a very exciting promotion for our service partners,” said Sheryl Bomia, North American Aftermarket programs manager for Tenneco. “Not only are we driving repeat business through the oil change, we’re giving consumers a reason to think about brake maintenance during the summer, as well as an extra incentive to choose premium products.”

To qualify, consumers must submit their sales receipt verifying the purchase of qualifying Monroe brake products and oil change service with the necessary redemption form to program headquarters. Redemption forms are available at www.monroebrakes.com. All receipts and redemption forms must be postmarked by September 20, 2007.

The oil change rebate is valid for 60 days with the purchase of the qualifying Monroe brake pads and oil change services worth up to $29.99. The promotion is available on qualifying Monroe brake products, including Monroe Ceramics and Monroe Dynamics brake pads.

Monroe Ceramics brake pads feature advanced, OE-style ceramic friction formulations that help deliver cooler, cleaner and quieter stopping than other brake materials.

Monroe Dynamics brake pads combine the benefits of OE-preferred constant pressure positive molding technology with a variety of aftermarket engineering enhancements to help ensure exceptional stopping power while minimizing noise, wear and dust associated with many competing pads.
