Bosch Announces ‘Giving Track’ Charitable Contributions Following Track Victories

With the victories by Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Newman, Bosch donated $4,000 to the sponsored teams' specified charities.

The Bosch Automotive Aftermarket NA “Giving Track” charitable contribution program has donated $4,000 to sponsored teams’ specified charities, further extending support off the track. Through the Giving Track program, Bosch contributes $1,000 to a team-specified charity each time one of its sponsored drivers scores a 2017 Monster Energy NASCARCup Series victory.

To date this season, contributions have been secured by Team Penske drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano as well as Richard Childress Racing driver Ryan Newman:

  • Brad Keselowski’s victories on April 2 at the STP 500 and on March 5 at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 secured a total of $2,000 for the Checkered Flag Foundation, which honors and assists those who have sacrificed greatly for our country.
  • On March 19, Ryan Newman’s victory at the Camping World 500 secured $1,000 for The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma, which discovers and shares the best ways to prevent and treat severe injuries in children.
  • On Feb. 19, Joey Logano’s win at the Advance Auto Parts Clash earned $1,000 for the Joey Logano Foundation, which invests in organizations offering second chances to children and young adults during times of crisis, and works to inspire others to live a life of generosity.

“Giving Track helps to drive change for many deserving organizations, such as the Joey Logano Foundation, Checkered Flag Foundation and The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Robert Bosch LLC, Automotive Aftermarket NA. “These charities were carefully selected by each of our sponsored teams, and represent the causes and missions that are important to them and in turn, Bosch.”

Bosch involvement in motorsports dates back to the early 1900s, and it has been equipping NASCAR teams with parts and technical advice since 1991. In 2012, when NASCAR made the move from carbureted engines to more efficient fuel injected engines, Bosch became the sport’s exclusive oxygen sensor supplier. Bosch is now the technical partner for gasoline components including oxygen sensors, fuel injectors and fuel pumps.
