Standard Motor Products Releases 375 New Parts For Intermotor Import Line

Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced the addition of 375 new part numbers to its Intermotor line of genuine import parts. The release expands coverage by an additional 90 million vehicles in operation (VIO) for the year 2015.

Intermotor’s sensor category received significant additions, including ABS speed and accelerator pedal sensors. In total, Intermotor’s sensor category added 145 new parts, covering more than 30 million VIO. Other sensors included cam/crank, G force, knock, steering angle and more, with coverage through 2015 for major import makes.

The company added more than 100 parts to Intermotor’s switch categories, including power window, power seat, neutral safety and ignition starter switches, boosting coverage by more than 25 million VIO. In addition, Intermotor introduced 50 new fuel vapor canisters with expanded coverage for Asian and European applications.

“We continue to expand our coverage in key high-tech categories,” said Phil Hutchens, vice president of engine management marketing, SMP. “With 375 new parts, we continue to deliver the import coverage our customers need to meet their market demands.”

All new applications are listed in the eCatalog found at IntermotorImport.com and in electronic catalog providers.
