Stant Renews NASCAR Contingency Sponsorship with Two Victories

Stant Mfg. Inc. has announced that it is a contingency sponsor for the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Stant Mfg. Inc. has announced that it is a contingency sponsor for the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

This partnership with NASCAR strengthens the lengthy relationship between the two organizations that has flourished for decades. Based on their finishing position in a race, contingency prize monies are awarded to racers who display the Stant decal on their cars.

Stant landed two first place finishes at Daytona in its first 2006 appearances with the renewed sponsorship. Jimmie Johnson’s Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet displayed the Stant decal in the Daytona 500, as did Mark Martin’s Roush Racing Ford in the GM Flex Fuel 250.

"Stant products have been a part of NASCAR for many years, and we are pleased to renew our contingency agreement in these exciting and highly competitive series,” said Marlon Bailey, president and general manager of Stant Manufacturing.

“The contingency program complements our licensing as a NASCAR Performance Brand,” Bailey added. “Stant radiator caps, thermostats, oil filler caps and fuel caps are all NASCAR Performance Brand products, providing consumers with the utmost in quality when it comes to outfitting their vehicle.”

Bailey also noted that “Stant high-performance radiator pressure caps have been the preferred choice of NASCAR teams for years. Testing in the extreme environment of NASCAR is a valuable tool for improving our products.”
