Purolator, a primary brand of ArvinMeritor, Inc., announced the addition of new late-model and diesel application coverage for its top ranked PureONE oil filter product line. The additional coverage is now available and includes both spin-on and cartridge oil filers.

Cartridge oil filters are new to the PureONE oil filter product line, and are manufactured with the same high-quality features that have made PureONE the top-selling mid-grade oil filter, including Micronic filtration media and a Teflon-coated sealing gasket.

"This expanded coverage for PureONE strengthens its position as America’s most trusted premium oil filter," said Rob Malone, vice president and general manager Filters, Ride Control and Gas Springs – N.A. "Consumer demand for premium protection for their vehicles continues to increase and we are quickly responding with product enhancements and new coverage."

New coverage will include applications for several vehicle makes and models, including Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Mazda, Mercury, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, Suzuki and Toyota. ArvinMeritor’s Light Vehicle Aftermarket (LVA) business group supplies exhaust systems, filters and ride control products to retailers, jobbers and distributors around the world.

House Subcommittee Votes to Approve REPAIR Act

The REPAIR Act will now go before the full House Energy and Commerce Committee for consideration.

Members of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce unanimously voted to advance the Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair (REPAIR) Act (H.R. 906) to the full Energy and Commerce Committee for consideration.

Building on two recent congressional hearings and last week’s White House roundtable on Right to Repair, this support from Congress is a promising step forward in codifying vehicle data access protections – as part of the broader right to repair movement – in federal law. The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives in February this year by Congressmen Neal Dunn, Brendan Boyle and Warren Davidson as well as Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, the only repair shop owner in Congress. Since then, it has gained an additional 40-plus bipartisan cosponsors.
