Mighty Auto Parts Launches Battery Testing Video

Studies show that one in 11 properly tested batteries will need to be replaced. This educational video shows why battery testing is an essential step during service and maintenance and how to incorporate it into the inspection process.

Mighty Auto Parts has released a new video on battery testing. The video opens with a real-life scenario: mom has only minutes to pick up the kids at soccer practice and rolling thunder promises rain, but her vehicle’s battery is dead. Through the magic of video rewind, mom’s problem is solved before it ever happened; what should have been done when she had her oil changed is demonstrated.

Studies show that one in 11 properly tested batteries will need to be replaced. This educational video shows why battery testing is an essential step during service and maintenance and how to incorporate it into the inspection process. Mighty offers four easy-to-use, hand-held battery testers and a full line of quality batteries by Exide for cars, light trucks and vans.

Toyota Regenerative Braking System

The brake system of a hybrid may have multiple components to perform regenerative braking and pedal simulation.

With conventional friction brakes, the energy of forward motion (kinetic energy) is transformed into heat energy, via friction, and then dissipated into the air. A Toyota hybrid vehicle recharges its high voltage battery through the use of regenerative braking.

With regenerative braking, instead of just wasting that energy by releasing it into the air, the vehicle takes it and places it in a box in the back of the car to save it as stored energy. Later, that stored energy will be converted back into kinetic energy and poured back into the operation of the car.

Regenerative Braking Service

Regenerative braking takes the forward motion of the vehicle and turns it into electrical energy.
