Federal-Mogul, NUCAP Industries Form Strategic Partnership For North American Friction Category

federal-mogul-motorparts-logoFederal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., has named NUCAP Industries as a strategic partner for its North American brake manufacturing programs. Federal-Mogul says the partnership will align the companies to raise the bar for product performance and safety across the aftermarket. The partnership provides Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a leading global manufacturer of OE and replacement friction products, the opportunity to more fully integrate NUCAP’s range of innovative brake foundation technologies.

nucap-logo“The independent aftermarket was built on trust and there can be no compromise in the quality of safety-critical components such as brake products. This new strategic partnership will help us strengthen the market’s standards for brake performance and speed the development of proprietary technologies that improve overall product safety, stopping power, noise reduction, durability and other important product characteristics,” said Dan Ninivaggi, CEO, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “We look forward to an even closer collaboration with NUCAP, a key supplier for many years, in producing and delivering the highest quality, North American-manufactured braking products for our North American customers at a competitive cost.”

“We are proud to be a strategic partner to Federal-Mogul Motorparts and look forward to working together to set new standards for braking within the North American aftermarket,” said NUCAP CEO Montu Khokhar. “We believe that product safety and on-road performance are cornerstones in the market, which has driven NUCAP’s 20-year history of product innovation. Just like Federal-Mogul, we are committed to the idea that the quality and capability of the parts going on a customer’s car are critical.”

NUCAP’s status as a strategic partner to Federal-Mogul Motorparts is an evolution of the companies’ long-standing relationship. NUCAP has supplied foundation components and advanced technologies to Federal-Mogul Motorparts for OE and replacement brake pad programs over the past 18 years. Both companies have a history of market leadership in the development of advanced technologies for the braking category, and both are past winners of the Automotive News PACE Awards for product innovation.
