AMSOIL Expands Signature Series Family To Include Automatic Transmission Fluid

AMSOIL INC. has re-positioned two of its synthetic automatic transmission fluids to be included in the company's Signature Series family. The new designation reflects the premium quality of AMSOIL Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and AMSOIL Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, said the company.

AMSOIL INC. of Superior, Wis., has re-positioned two of its synthetic automatic transmission fluids to be included in the company’s Signature Series family. The new designation reflects the premium quality of AMSOIL Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and AMSOIL Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, said the company. The robust performance was proven during severe-service field testing, validating the expanded service life recommendations. AMSOIL Signature Series ATF is recommended for twice the vehicle manufacturers’ severe-service drain interval. The products also feature new packaging.

Signature Series ATF provides outstanding high and low temperature performance and oxidation stability.  In addition, AMSOIL Synthetic ATF is formulated to improve fuel efficiency, reduce transmission temperatures and increase equipment life.

A premiere feature of the new Signature Series transmission fluids is the effectiveness in severe service. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of the new line AMSOIL partnered with a Las Vegas taxicab fleet whose constant idling, stop-and-go driving and passenger loads in searing desert heat can push drivetrain fluids to the limit. The test showed outstanding wear protection and durability.

AMSOIL Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF is recommended for transmissions, hydraulics, power steering systems and other applications that require any of the following specifications:

Toyota Regenerative Braking System

The brake system of a hybrid may have multiple components to perform regenerative braking and pedal simulation.

With conventional friction brakes, the energy of forward motion (kinetic energy) is transformed into heat energy, via friction, and then dissipated into the air. A Toyota hybrid vehicle recharges its high voltage battery through the use of regenerative braking.

With regenerative braking, instead of just wasting that energy by releasing it into the air, the vehicle takes it and places it in a box in the back of the car to save it as stored energy. Later, that stored energy will be converted back into kinetic energy and poured back into the operation of the car.

Regenerative Braking Service

Regenerative braking takes the forward motion of the vehicle and turns it into electrical energy.
