ACDelco 2007 Calendar Competition Recognizes ‘Pride of the Real Car Guys’

You know you're a "Real Car Guy" when ... you're featured in ACDelco's "Pride of the Real Car Guys" calendar. This response is expected to be one of hundreds received in ACDelco's "Pride of the Real Car Guys" 2007 calendar competition. You know you’re a “Real Car Guy” when … you’re featuredin ACDelco’s “Pride of the Real Car Guys” calendar.

This response is expected to be one of hundreds received in ACDelco’s “Pride ofthe Real Car Guys” 2007 calendar competition. In its third year, the competition encourages automotive enthusiasts — women and men alike — to tell ACDelco why they feel their vehicles should be one of the 12 selected for the calendar.

New this year, the competition allows anyone — sponsored by an ACDelco Dedicated Distribution Group (DDG) member — who feels she or he is a “Real Car Guy” to submit an entry. Previously, only Independent Service Centers (ISCs) participating in ACDelco’s Total Service Support (TSS) program were eligible.

“We had so many other employees of ISCs, Fleet accounts, Jobbers and Warehouse Distributors express interest in the calendar that we’re now allowing them to submit their entries,” said Lea George, ACDelco merchandising specialist. “We recognize there are many ‘Real Car Guys’ who identify with ACDelco’s heritage and brand name and trust ACDelco for their automotive needs.”

ACDelco’s “Pride of the Real Car Guys” 2007 calendar competition runs from Nov. 1, 2005, through Feb. 28, 2006. ACDelco-sponsored race car team drivers and ACDelco management will select each of the winning 12 vehicles as judged by an essay and photograph submission. Four grand-prize winners will be selected in each of the three following categories: Muscle/Classic; Custom/Tuner; and Import.

In addition to having their prized vehicles displayed on one of the monthly calendar pages, the 12 grand-prize winners will each receive an ACDelco leather jacket, a framed photo of her/his winning vehicle as it appears in the calendar, and 100 ACDelco “Pride of the Real Car Guys” calendars to share with customers, family and friends.

Access ACDelco’s TechConnect website at acdelcotechconnect.com anytime during the competition period and follow the on-screen instructions to enter and submit entry information and materials. A complete listing of official rules is also available.
