It was a night to recognize the best of the best as Federated Auto Parts honored top suppliers at its annual awards dinner on April 14. The celebration of excellence was held during the recent Federated National Meeting in Phoenix.

In addition to the top honor of Outstanding Vendor of the Year, five Federated supplier partners were presented with awards for outstanding vendor support in key categories important to the Federated membership. Winners included:

• Outstanding Vendor of the Year – Standard Motor Products (SMP)
• Order Fill Vendor of the Year – Remy, Federated Co-Man Warehouse (tie)
• Education & Training Vendor of the Year – East Penn
• Marketing Vendor of the Year – KYB Americas
• Sales Representation Vendor of the Year – Cardone
• Electronic Cataloging Vendor of the Year – Dorman

“We want to congratulate SMP and the other top tier suppliers selected by our membership to receive these prestigious awards. Federated and Automotive Services Product Group (APSG) members are looking for reliable partners that strive for excellence. To receive important recognition from the membership is a great accomplishment,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts. “We want to thank all of our supplier partners who work closely with APSG members on a daily basis, providing them with high-quality parts and exemplary customer service within an attractive value proposition.

The Federated National Meeting was held April 13-16 at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix in conjunction with the Pronto meeting. A record number of members attended the event and participated in a series of informative meetings and general sessions. Federated members were able to attend joint events with Pronto shareholders, including the first-ever Automotive Parts Services Group vendor expo.
