Larry Carley, Technical Editor, System-Specific Technical Features.

His articles cover a range of topics including brake friction material, transmission/clutch service, OBDII, A/C service, chassis, exhaust and starting/charging system service.

Larry has more than 20 years experience in the aftermarket, including experience as an ASE-certified mechanic, and has won numerous awards for his articles. He has written 12 books on automotive car care and alternative fuels.

Gary Goms, Import Specialist, Diagnostic Solutions Technical Column.

Gary owns and operates the Midland Engine Electronics & Diagnostics in Buena Vista, CO. He is an ASE-certified Master Auto Technician, ASE L-1 Advanced Engine Performance Technician, and a MACS- and IMACA-certified Air Conditioning Technician.

Gary also is involved in giving back to the industry through his active participation in industry associations and vocational education programs.

Mitch Schneider, Mitch's World Column

Mitch Schneider is the co-owner of Schneider's Automotive Repair, an independent repair facility located in Simi Valley, CA.

Larry has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and is ASE-certified in Engine Repair, Suspension/Steering, Brakes and Engine Performance, and MACS-certified in A/C recycling and service.

Larry is currently employed as a technician at Quality Foreign Auto, Mill Creek, WA, where he specializes in the repair and service of Volkswagens.

Bob Dowie, Import Specialist, Nissan, Honda, Mazda & High-Performance Modifications Technical Features.

Bob has been in the automotive service business for more than 30 years, and his shop, Village Auto Works in Chester, NY, specializes in Honda, Toyota, Mazda and Nissan repair.

A racing enthusiast, Bob owns and runs a Honda Civic and Nissan Sentra SER in SCCA GT5 racing, and gets his technicians involved in various aspects of the sport, whether it be driving the race car or working on it in preparation of race day. * Dowie is also a member of the ImportCar Advisory Board.

Boe Kalinoski, Import Specialist, Volvo/Saab Technical Features.

Boe has been servicing imports for more than 25 years. He owns and operates Automotion Services, a Volvo/Saab repair shop in Billerica, MA. He is an ASE-certified Master Auto Technician, a Volvo/Saab Master Technician and a MACS/IMACA-Certified Air Conditioning Technician. Boe is also a Licensed Auto Appraiser.
