Michelin North America is introducing a new Uniroyal winter tire line.
The Uniroyal Tiger Paw Ice & Snow II launches Aug. 1 in 29 sizes covering 13- through 17-inch diameters.
Designed for a wide range of passenger cars from subcompact to full-size, MNA said the new line “provides both durability and reliability for driving in severe winter conditions at an affordable price.”
“The tire is designed to perform in all weather conditions, but excels in cold, icy, wet and snowy weather,” said Andy Koury, MNA winter category manager. “We used the latest technology to help the tire maintain adhesion and flexibility in low temperatures, thus improving its cold weather grip.”
The tire is molded to accept studs, and the tread is highly siped with deep grooves and a winter-adapted tread compound.
